There has been a lot of digging up of old sketches and work I haven’t seen in ages! I have been preparing designs, sketches, art work and other creations for next Friday’s art talk, July 26, 7-8:30 in Haymarket, VA @crossroads_arts_alliance. Hope to see you there!!!

It has been a rough couple of weeks with the kids

It has been a rough couple of weeks with the kids and myself being sick and then sick again! Needless to say my motivation to be creative has been drained away. I’m not trying to beat myself up too hard and focus more on self care. I like turning to photography and nature when I’m in burnout mode, and was able to do a quick, fun photoshoot with the orange poppies, an old kimono and thrifted parasol with the help of my daughter.

The opening reception for the art show at Crossroa

The opening reception for the art show at Crossroads Art Alliance was today! It was exciting to see Moss Man on the wall hanging out with all of the other beautiful art pieces! The show runs to the end of May and is open when the flag is flying! #cobbleandmoss

I tried it and loved it! We foraged the wild viole

I tried it and loved it! We foraged the wild violets growing all over our backyard and followed a recipe posted by @swallowtail.ridge shared by @carrollcookieco and it wasn’t just beautiful, it tasted so refreshingly good! I may have messed up when boiling which is why it turned more green then blue, but that didn’t mess up the effect at all. And the mixture was sitting in the fridge for a few days, deepening the green. If you are able to try this, it’s a thumbs up!
